That Van trade probably is about Fair, but I would say no. Reinhart isn't as useful to us as Podkolzin, as his management rights are shorter, and Podkolzin has low value, but an unknown ceiling, so I would wait until his value goes up. Also Van has plenty of mediocre prospects, we don't need 2nds. A ninth overall is pretty useful for us, especially considering how variable the top 15 are

Believe me I'm aware, most of the value in this package is based off of Norris and 10, the right side of this D will be rough for this year

Sens NTC Dadovov says no. Sens say no, keep their cap and they think Norris is a going to be a star.

If you want to keep Norris that's one thing but this is not a cap issue for Ottawa. They would only be taking on about 3 million in this trade

VAN decline they are not moving Podkolzin, also they are not in a position to be trading away players on entry level deals.

Would much rather keep Norris and do something more along the lines of the Reinhart trade.

Also swapping a 5m contract and two elc’s for a 10m contract does contraint the cap when you have 5-6 players who will need big contracts in the next 2-3 years.

The "cap" issue is the following. Ottawa would rather have 10m in cap, plus Norris, plus Branstrom plus the first rounder than Eichel.
