3 straight 24 goal seasons and was on pace for 30 before COVID stopped the 19/20 season...0% chance he isn't protected. Not to mention he is one of the better 5v5 players in the league.

But is this team deeper and better without his cap burden? I say yes. Don't get me wrong he is a very solid player and can bounce back but this league is about rolling all four lines. This lineup can do that.

Cap burden? $5.5 mil for a guy that can score 30 goals is a burden? Oof, that's a bad take! This is only 1 of the major problems you have with this team! They already said they are looking to move Voracek. Patrick has all but said he wants out. Myers on the top pair will not work! Glendening is a 4th liner etc.
