Bonuses will be under 2M probably so we could also keep and bury ADA so there isn’t a cap hit next year

Mikko has had better numbers than Georgiev over the last two seasons, so Oilers pass.

He's a tradeable asset with retention, not so sure it's in the Oilers' best interests to do so. He only has one year left on his contract and he's a league average goaltender being paid a middle of the road AAV for a starter. The problem with MK is he can't play the majority of the games. 35-40 is his sweet spot.

Mikko is a negative asset and is treated as such here. Edmonton's cap situation did not improve at all yesterday and in fact got worse. But I included this trade to acknowledge the Rangers would have too much cap space in this scenario, and should at least try to burn some for this season and pick up an asset in return. It can be almost anyone that is a cap dump.
