Not even close on that Tkachuk trade, either throw in Zegras or don't bother.

Not in this draft, we already have a decently high pick. Why bother with a chance at 3rd overall, if im trading Chucky I want a sure thing otherwise im keeping him.

Good point. Then Anaheim probably doesn't have the peices if GMBT agrees with you

I get that, Eklund looks very promising though, Tkachuk definitely won't be traded to Anaheim regardless though

Everyone assumes that Zegras is just a trade tool for Anaheim lol. If they won’t even trade him for Eichel I highly doubt they do it for Tkachuk

Im not saying hes a trade tool, hes an extremely high ceiling young player whos most likely a franchise piece in the near future. My point is that I want that kind of guy for Tkachuk otherwise hes staying put, why trade him for such low value when all the power is on the Flames side of the trade.

If we want Eklund, then its more than possible to get him by trading into the top 10 and not giving up Tkachuk, I really don't think Anaheim is taking him with their 3rd overall.

They probably should, if not I doubt he falls below #5. Regardless Flames arent trading Tkachuk at all

Columbus isn’t trading a 1st for a rental…. Especially not a top 5 pick for one… try again.

Unless you're the Ducks in this scenario all the deals are terrible for you.

He is the best option at 3OA. I'll be disappointed if we don't pick him (assuming Beniers and Power go 1-2). Guenther's sample size is small, it wouldn't be good to pick another RHD this high and LHD is the Ducks best position right now. Eklund makes the most sense.

How do you feel about Mason McTavish?

I feel like a center with a similar playstyle and build to Ryan Getzlaf would be the target for the Ducks.

I like McTavish but 3OA is a little high I think. He should go in the 7-12 range. I could be wrong and he could turn out as the best player from the draft but I think there are a few better forwards. If we trade down (I don't think so but who knows) I'd take him. But I really like Eklund and a Top 6 with Comtois and Eklund on LW would be really good.

(I'm not really a fan of the Ducks' power forward picks in recent years. Ritchie didn't really live up to expectations (at least with the Ducks) and Jones didn't look like a 1st rounder this year.)

There were better options (even back then on draft day) than Ritchie and I think they shouldn't have picked him.
