Description

Let's see what people think of this roster, trying to make it tougher to play against while still having a good amount of skill.
First thing is expansion draft.
I protect Matthews, marner, Tavares, nylander, muzzin, Brodie, holl, Reilly, Campbell
Seattle takes Kerfoot
Nylander trade
Get Bertuzzi who's gritty style with skill will help, Rasmussen is a big body with skill that's really coming into his own. Lindstrom big bodied shut down defenceman who took big strides this year.
Detroit gets nylander and Mikheyev just to give Toronto more cap flexibility.
The Bertuzzi deal basic 4M x 4 years. Keep him long enough with the rest of the core, but can be moved if the core leaves.
Hyman deal is set up like this
Year 1 $6M signing bonus $1M salary
Year 2 $6M signing bonus $1M salary
Year 3 $6M signing bonus $1M salary
Year 4 $2M signing bonus $1M salary
Year 5-8 $1M salary
Potential for $1M performance bonus every season if Hyman plays in at least 60 games and scores 45 points per season.
Hyman has the potential to make up to $36M which is likely what he would make on the open market. If he becomes a liability he can be traded near the end of his contract or bought out.
Galchenyuk gets a one year prove it deal.
Bogosian reups for another year as well as Foligno.
I bring in Rinne to back up Campbell, I think he's still got a bit left in the tank and the drive for a cup. I also decided to resign riley Nash and bring in another veteran in Perreault.
When injuries happened and if need be I would bring up Robertson first, then brooks and Anderson.
I think this team is alot tougher to play against and I'm hoping that they can get more depth scoring. I'm not opposed if he earns a spot at having Robertson in at 3LW.

Oh and Detroit fans, I know nylander doesn't fit in with what Yzerman is doing, I actually plan on doing a Detroit version after with what my plan would be with him.

That's what Hyman is actually worth good contract for both sides. He gets to be Leaf for life, Leafs get low cap hit. Highest AAV I'd give him for any term is 4. Seen guys here saying Oilers should give him 6, Ken has made enough mistakes this summer
