As a Kings fan... it'd be hard to swallow the team trading a 1st round pick to get Tarasenko, given they traded up to NOT pick him in 2010 and he got taken immediately after.

I don’t agree LAK accepts this trade, but what a nonsensical thing to say.

Your logic on not trading for Tarasenko is based on your general manager and scouting team at the time choosing not to pick him in the draft 11 years prior. You chose a nobody in Forbort whereas Tarasenko went on to become an elite 40-goal scorer that won a Cup. But I don’t know about asset management.

Your original post implied that Tarasenko isn’t worth a 1st because you didn’t choose him in a draft 11 years ago. How am I the dumbfck here? I don’t even think he’s worth most 1sts right now, but what you said is straight up braindead.

The Blues are NOT giving a 1st to offload Krug. He has positive value, bub. And Montour is not at all needed.

Maybe I'm reading it differently, but I read it as @irgids can't believe LA decided to not draft him in the first place when they had the chance to 10 years ago, but then give up a first later for him.

Tarasenko represents a major risk for any GM at this point. His shoulder is hardly attached and, not unrelated, his production has plummeted. The Kings would be nuts to give up an 8th overall and two decent prospects for a guy with a BIG contract and a long and unresolved medical history.

On the Blais trade, the Habs would be nuts to say no, especially if they lose any of Armia, Perry or Lehkonen.

If sending Labanc to STL I would at least want one of or both of Kostin and Barbashev, you can keep your pick

A 35 year old KHLer and a 4th round prospect from last year? Really, that is the offer for a 25 year old 2nd line winger? Goodness that is miserably off in terms of value.

Biggest issue is you only have 21 players on your roster with less than 2 mil in cap space.

So Blais and dunn for a 3rd from MTL? Dunn alone should fetch a 1st somewhere.
