My Tarasenko attempt and Schmidt

Created by: kscoop
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 13, 2021
Published: Jul. 13, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not sure on the value for Tarasenko. Vancouver trying to offload Schmidt so a 2nd plus Wagner should do it. I also think he would be a terrific partner for Mcavoy. Goodrow takes this deal because of the term. could probably get more aav but the 5 years provides him with stability. If Tarasenko is healthy that is a deep group of forwards. Lethal top 2 lines and line 3 can bring it also.

I can't see goodrow signing that contract. This is his one chance to cash in. Someone will offer him a Taney contract.

Why are you boxing yourself in with some of these contracts? Gotta pay Charlie and pastrnak in back to back years and make a decision on keeping Bergeron or paying up for a top C

You can get Hakanpaa for half that, he’s really not that good - 6/7 d, closer to 7D on contending team

Tanev signed before Covid. In this flat cap era Goodrow imo would accept this type of deal. Maybe a team offers a Tanev contract but that would be silly. Lots of money for Charlie and Pasta.

I wasn't sure on Hakanpaa tbh. If he's not that good I would pass on him. I did not watch him enough tbh.

You have 27 million to sign 10 players next offseason and in addition to mcavoy, will have to sign Bergeron/krejci or sign replacements and then do it again the following year with pastrnak

    Blues decline

Why Schmidt? He was never more than average defensively and he declined significantly the last 2 years. Plays much better on right side. Plays softer game than Reilly. Bad contract. Sure i expect him to bounce back, but you can have Reilly for half the cost and get virtually same production.

Has not been the last 2 years. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In name, not in value or production.

They paid a 3rd and he declined in the same manor Debrusk did. And you want to give them a 2nd andwags with no retention?

    3rd ad Moore maybe.

But you have to replace him then.

You've boxed yourself in with bad contracts

How? Most of Krejci money would go to Mcavoy. Tarasenko walks after the contract which would free up 7.5 Bergeron is on a year to year deal. I get that Krejci would have to be replaced but that is inevitable.

Schmidt plays a way more physical game. Did we watch the same Reilly in the playoffs? He pooped himself every time he had to retrieve a puck behind his net.

    3rd ad Moore maybe.

He had 15 hits last year. 25 the year before. Has averaged 43 per 82 for his career. Reilly - 70. Reilly plays soft, Schmidt plays softer.

Try to make future teams with these moves. It won't go well

You mentioned Mcavoy and Pastrnak. Mcavoy already at 4.9 Bruins will sign him 8x8.25 Pastrnak making 6.6 right now. Bruins sign him 8x9

Lots of money left. And i'd imagine at some point the cap increases.
