Description

Usually I focus on scenarios where Allen is selected by Seattle, and Danault takes a reasonable contract. This time Chiarot is drafted, and Danault gets greedy so we have to let him walk!

-I like Lehky so that trade hurts a bit
-1yr term is all we can afford on Martinez, we need that space, along with Kulak's money to re-sign our RFAs next off-season! I think $4M should be pretty tempting for him? Not many guys his age whose pay isn't trending down already.
-I think Del Zotto can do at least as well as Gustafsson, and might be more defensively sound in the process.

Ducks also seem to lean a bit to the grinder/power forward so maybe the softie Drouin could fit in as a playmaker/PP specialist.

With Ducks picking 3rd, and MTL picking 2nd last- these picks are just over 1 round apart.

Gotta think the Ducks would be looking at a young player with more control if they're selling off Rakell. Considering Drouin's issues, I can't see anyone being in a rush to take that contract on until he's back on the ice.
