      its only 1.5 for 2 years. Thats an overpay Detriot is tied for my 2nd favorite team and I'd easily take that for both sides.

      Detroit declines, return not enough.

      25% is 1.8125 per year, 3.6250 total.

      It'll cost you two 2nds for Detroit to do that.

      Compare with the Savard deal where Detroit got a 4th to retain 200.000 for one month.

      This is 18 times as much and it takes up a retention spot for two years.

      Detriot is tied for my second favorite team and that is delusional they are rebuilding and have the cap space and realistically dont make the playoffs for 2 years hence the trade they are not about to get 2 2nds for 2 years of retaining under 2 mil. The offer is more than enough. If DET declines there are other teams lining up for the free picks.

      Detroit also have other options. Like taking on TJ and get paid a lot more.
