Guessing Nico Sturm instead of Bjugstad. The interesting part to me becomes which goalie do you protect, because there's valid arguments either way.

So they’re likely losing Soucy or Kahkonen now.

I think it’s either Soucy or Kahkonen that goes to SEA

Remove Bjugstad and add Eichel. Could be wrong but I have a gut feeling since we just opened up $10M in cap space and a protection spot...

Assuming no trades are made this is what I'd do

    I’ve seen rumours that Kaprizov’s camp turned down a 8yr x 9mil deal.

And Fiala believes he’s worth the 7-8mil range.

They may not be true though, the only place I’ve seen them is from NHL rumour pages on the Instagram explore page lmao

Which really makes me wonder about years 3 and 4 if they added Eichel. Fiala would probably go the other away along with whatever other assets to help make the cap work especially if Fiala is chasing a bigger payday than Guerin will give him.

Go for it with UFAs this year or eat bad contracts with that money. I think Fiala is as good as gone and Eichel makes zero sense now. Give Kaprizov 8 by 10 or 11 mil or trade him. This is rebuild time baby.

I've posted before what an Eichel trade between the Sabres and Wild could look like.

I have no intention of posting it again, out of respect for the Sabres' fanbase smile

Although buying out Parise and Suter makes an Eichel trade more likely.

After looking into it more closely, I now have Kahkonen going to Seattle instead of Rask.

By the end of the expansion draft, Seattle will already have Giordano/Skjei/Graves for the left side.

    No need for Soucy.

What on earth is Carolina giving Seattle to take that horrible contract?
