How do you plan to free up an additional 8mil by next year to be cap compliant (Suter and Parise's buy outs for not this year but the three years after are brutal).

His camp already rejected 9 mil and doesn’t want a long term deal

leaves only 6 mil next year to fill 6 spots on the roster, including extending greenway, sturm, and kahkonen. Not possible. Doesn't work. Those buyouts will hurt down the line. Wild don't have the cap flexibility they think they have. You can sign guys to 1 year deals but past 1 year it will be tough to fit a big contract in with those buyouts increasing

So a Colorado fan, and pitts fan is thinking this will happen isn't realistic

It will be a 4 or 5 years deal

You aren't a wild fan. You are a Colorado and Pitt fan. You don't speak for any wild fan, or get a say in what wild should do

You have the right to your opinion

No. It's already been reported kaprizov's agent wants 3 years. Bill Guerin wants 8 years. Now, it's on both sides to meet in the middle

It’s a per Micheal Russo, a well known wild media guy, look at puck Empire on Instagram, it will clearly state his camp rejected a 9 million for 8 years deal

This whole forum is a bunch of armchair GMs with no ties to their respective favorite team’s FO. What an odd thing to say. @Ira clearly follows the Wild as he’s referencing their bear writers.

The same person who had two different teams as favorites, and not 1 time does wild are stated

Same person who didn't know argument of kaprizov was 3 years agent wants compared to 8 years wild gm wants, & reporting today both man realize they have to meet in the middle?

You’re mistaken look at post 4 & 11 clearly talks about the contract negotiations.

Yet didn't state the true facts. It's 3 years vs. 8

And finally today reports of both realizing they need to meet in the middle

Like the individual said KK wants 3 and Minny wants 8 so usually in negotiations you meet in the middle. So are you saying Minny wants 3 years and KK wants 8?

I personally don’t care for the wild as a team, I’m a hardcore pens fan, I don’t love the wild but don’t hate em, but I follow the sport avidly, which means I follow a lot of hockey social media pages and I also read the athletic a lot.

I simply thought an armchair gm of the wild would be interesting cuz of the buyouts today

I can respect that. Tired of seeing posters be so negative or say things with such certainties as they work in their team’s front office. I can tell you put some level analysis into this post which is why I commented on the other user.

Weirdly enough, oodles and oodles of cap space in boston. Even without team friendly deals. That said, all three of krejci, rask, and hall said that their next contract in boston wouldn’t be about money. I think hall gets good term around 5.5-6. Krejci falls in at around 1x4, and rask, who won’t be back until january is in the 1x3 ballpark. Krejci is eligible for performance bonuses, and rask would be next year.

Or it would just work because there is a ton of cap space in boston.
