  2. 2023 6th round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
The Leafs may have to add more to this, and if a trade of this ilk would happen, it would be before the expansion draft. I do think Dermott can flourish in a top 4 role and Detroit is a great place for him to go and breakout. He to me is similar to Troy Stecher and the Red Wings did really well with getting him so will see. Kokkonen is one of the Leafs better B prospects so this could be an interesting move and Kerfoot can play in the middle 6 for the Red Wings, maybe even at 3C?

NJD declines.
No reason to consider that deal.

So lots of the Toronto trades for bert are great value wise, but just not ready what I want for bert. Id want a big piece back for him. A good first rounder or a high prospect. Less pieces but something more impactful id even kick in a good pick if I have too

So Wings trade Bertuzzi a proven forward in the NHL, for a 3rd line center, Leaf fans have been peddling all season, a really good B prospect and a bottom 5 or 6 defenseman. What in the hell makes you think that gets it done. WINGS DO NOT HAVE TO TRADE BERTUZZI SO STOP PEDDLING THESE CRAPPY DEALS.

Kerfoot as the main piece for Bertuzzi is a non starter, Kerfoot is the same age as Bertuzzi and not nearly as good. Dermott is a bottom pairing LD at best no thanks. Keep your pieces we keep Bertuzzi.

Cant see the Red Wings getting a top prospect for him from the Leafs. If they gave up one of their best prospects I would be highly disappointed. He I would say has similar value to how valuable Josh Anderson was last offseason, as their profiles are eerily similar imo.

They will trade Bertuzzi if the right move comes along. He is not going to get a package that is jaw dropping, if anything it would be something along the lines of what Josh Anderson got last season.

Yeah I think your right, we want sandin or robertson and I doubt Toronto coughs them up. Personally I think we're better off seeing who chases hyman or coleman in free agency and then try to leverage them for something with bert as a consolation prize

I can see Hyman going to the Red Wings actually, he makes a ton of sense there tbh.

This is not even close. Dream on. Good GMs don't give up first line players for third and fourth line scraps. We'll just keep him then. You are a divisional team and there would be MANY other suitors if we put him on the block. Just because you don't want something to be true doesn't make it so. Too bad if it's unpleasant. And stop with the Josh Anderson comparison. Anderson has put up 28 points in his last 78 games. Bertuzzi had 55 in the last 80 games. See the difference chief?

Bertuzzi is a year younger than Anderson, had an injury shortened season where he had a pretty significant surgery, is a year away from UFA, and the previous season put up north of 20 goals and really broke out. Lmk the last time a player of Bertuzzi's ilk and current status fetched an A+ return which consisted of a first, high end prospect and a roster player because off the top of my head I cant think of one atm. Stevie Y may get a good return and he may not trade Bertuzzi at all, but the comparison is similar and there could be a trade there and that would be the base of it.

I dont think the anderson comparison is that outlandish. Anderon had what 27 goals that year in coumbus before the hurt season 2 years ago and 17 this season.

Oh and to answer you're question: the Kapenen trade and the Zucker trade. Those are actual comparables.

I was implying that the poster watched Anderson in the playoffs so he thinks they are similar. Bertuzzi is better. Boxcars are hard to argue with. The two trades I mentioned are much better comparables than Anderson.
