Philly isn't really interested LHD's in the first place or in Schmidt who just had a bad season and makes 6 million for the next 5 years. Like the guy just cut his production in half. At this point Schmidt doesn't have that much value IMO, and I feel like Canucks might not get even a 2nd for him. I don't see a fit for Schimdt in Philly, but let's just say that Fletcher would be interested in him, and Benning would want Konecny. Schmidt alone would be nowhere enough for Konecny so Canucks would need to add a valuable piece get this through. I also doubt that Fletcher would be that interested in the 9th overall pick or in other picks cause Philly isn't going to be rebuilding and Canucks probably aren't that interested in trading a guy like Podkolzin or Höglander that would fit Philly's future needs, but you never know it's Jim Benning after all. Also I have no idea how interested the Canucks would be in picks and prospects.

This is the trade that I think would best fit both teams

PHI receives: Schmidt and Podkolzin

VAN receives: Konecny, Frost, Aube-Kubel, 2021 2nd and 2022 3rd (picks could be changed for prospects as well)

What Vancouver seems to miss rn is a 3rd line center so Frost could Jump in to their 3C role. If Podkolzin is going to be a part of this trade it creates a hole to the bottom 6 that Aube-Kubel can fill up.

Pretty much 2021 2nd for Schmidt, and Konecny, Frost, Aube-Kubel and 2022 3rd for Podkolzin.
Im not entirely sure of Podkolzin's value but that should be close to his value IMO.
