I dont understand why Parise was bought out. It doesn't save them a whole lot... suter was bought out so they can protect Dumba.

Just because we have 10M in space that just opened up doesn't mean we can use it all on long term deals. I can't fathom how people who spend their time on a website dedicated to contracts and the salary cap don't understand how this procedure works and the implications of it.

Cutting both allows them to go 7-3-1 and protect all of Erickson Ek, Fiala, Foligno, Greenway, Hartman, and Dumba without needing to cut a deal with Seattle. As things stand, they risk losing one of Rask, Soucy, or whichever goalie they expose. The cap will be tough in years 3 and 4, glad it's not my job to navigate it. lol

~$13m in 23-24 to sign like 6 forwards, 4 defenseman and 2 goalies in this scenario... haha
