It's hard to say, honestly. However, I know it when I see it. Retaining 5M bucks for a couple 2nds, one of which is two years away, ain't it.

Tarasenko has little to no value unfortunately for Blues fans.
3 season ending shoulder injuries in a row, cant stay healthy...
Publicly demanded a trade.

You are definitely will NOT be getting a 1st round pick unless its a super late pick 28-32 but it wont be acompanied by a decent prospect as well especially with 0 retention. Most teams aren't Holland and overpaying for washed up talent.

I agree with Mokumboi in that 2 x 2nd round picks isn't it, but it wont be much more than that in value.
Likely a 2nd + roster player with NHL experience.
