Well ANA declines that's for sure.

MIN can't afford that trade long term. After the Suter and Parise buyouts they're working with $14M lesser cap compared to others in 2023-24 and 2024-25, so they really can't add much long-term cap here.

Buying out Parise and Suter pretty much eliminated Minnesota from getting Eichel....

I think the Eichel to MN dream is over. There's no way the Wild can trade all their cheap young prospects anymore. They need to see what Boldy, Rossi, and Addison can do this year and then hope they're very productive in the following 3 years when they're still cheap while the dead cap hit is massive. Large contracts like Dumba and probably even Fiala would need to be traded to bring in a really big contract like Eichel's. It's going to be interesting to see what GMBG can do.

I mean technically it could happen if MIN would use long-term high cap assets to bring Eichel to Minnesota. That would probably include the likes of Fiala, Greenway, Soucy, Dumba, etc.

Wasnt it reported hours after the buyout that the Wild will make an offer?

Devils decline hard. Wood is valuable and we don't need relief from Subban's contract.

Yes. And they will. They’re definitely in on Eichel. They’ll figure out the cap problems in 23-24 when they get there.

I think im fine not making that anaheim trade. Pick 32, reinhart, and olofsson is a lot to give up.

So very very far apart on that Risto trade
Sabres would not be getting Subban, Wood or 3rd for him...let alone all three

Anaheim shouldn't trade either of those two assets for that package, let alone both. Reinhart announcing he's going to test free agency after one yer with the Ducks would be followed one day later by management announcing that Bob Murray is going to precede him out the door.
