Although georgiev is expensive for the leafs there’s no way we turn that down.

Outside of Kuzy deal I don’t really see how this team is better than before.

An actual 4th line and a extra vet dman which rangers weren’t far from the playoffs last year. And with gallant I truly think kakko and laf will have a real chance

I like Buchnevich... that is a steep price though. Any idea of what he's looking for in terms of a contract?

I don’t think Reeves holds much value personally. McNabb is ok but feel like you could find something better personally

I wouldn’t say it’s a steep price considering Edmonton will be in the playoffs and he had a great season on both sides of the ice but I don’t really know I’d hope he’s not asking more than 6.5

That’s why reaves is scratched he’s main for game against the caps. But McNabb was analytically really good defensive and I think would be super helpful for nils

This could be a playoff team but I wouldn't consider them contenders

Haha fair enough - I don’t think a third for him playing 6 games is worth it tho lol

That Kuznetsov deal is a MESS for the Rangers. Older and worse. No leadership, no defensive play, no toughness, no PK... just a mess.

I don’t think it’s that bad, kakko was really good defensively last year and you kinda need some older vets on a team. I’m not opposed to keeping strome if we can resign him for a fair price and just keep him with panarin

It's one of those things that it's probably what it costs for a player like him but the Oilers probably swing at a few UFAs and kick tires on guys like Palat before they spend money on an asset without a contract looking for a big raise.

Kuzi at that cap hit isnt worth losing other pieces when they have no cap space the following season.

He's old and has had a ton of off ice issues. He better be cheap as hell if they are getting him. Like Howden + 2nd for Kuznetsov with retention. And that's because he doesn't add anything they dont already have.

Love each and every single one of those trade proposals!

My only real concerns would be:
1. Is Chytil good enough to be a 3C? Or is he better suited on the wing? I wouldn't mind signing a guy like Nick Bonino.
2. Is demolishing KZB altogether and playing Kreider on the 3rd line a good idea, especially with his contract?

Kreiders contract is a lose lose situation and I believe in chytil

I'm a bit surprised on the mikheyev trade. Do you value him that highly? Or is it just about getting rid of georgiev by any means necessary? Mikheyev is an excellent penalty killer but has had hands of stone since his wrist laceration

No just clearing some cap and getting a depth player in return could definitely get more but
