I saw that which is why he gets four years at $7M AAV. Bill Guerin and Kaprizov's agent are going to have to meet in the middle at four or five years. Bill wouldn't give Kaprizov that much money over four years.

He wants to flee after he hits UFA. So, 8,7 yrs he declined. 2-3 we are not giving to him. Looks like they gonna negotiate something in between - 4 or 5. Moneywise, 7 mil + is only for a long term commitment. I would give him in between 5 to 6.7 mil. Thats how much Panarin (second contract) and Pastrnak earned and they are WAAAAY better than him.

I think it’ll be something like this with (hopefully) Dvorak.

Why do we need another middle 6 C?

I’m on board with Aero. If a center is acquired, I would prefer Eichel or Hertl. It doesn’t make much sense to acquire another middle-6 center. Dvorak has average advanced statistics.

I’d prefer to get him as a safe bet as a healthy properly aged center. Especially with the buyout cap crunch.

I wouldn't be opposed to this kind of youth movement. Would sure like it with Hertl at 1C. If BG has the cap space, wouldn't mind him acquiring a 1 year cap dump for picks/prospects.

Hertl should be the first target for the Wild even before Eichel. He will cost less and the roster and prospect pool wouldn’t be blown up like an Eichel trade could. His next deal would be affordable too as he only has one year remaining.

Yep, just concerned about resigning him since, yea that’s gonna be a stretch. He’ll likely command 7.5m for term on his next deal if he performs reasonably.
