While this is obviously a favorable deal for MIN, you need to wipe ~13M from the cap next year and that’s gonna be tricky given the contracts here.

Also the Buffalo dude is obsessed with Marcus foligno. Numerous wild fans have told him foligno can't be had. I think he's just trolling

I think we understand in general that Foligno doesn’t really want to leave Minnesota. We can scratch the itch by signing his brother this off-season. Realistically Marcus Foligno will probably never come back to Buffalo, but maybe in three years he’ll have a change of heart.

Wild will go after nick foligno hard. They wanted him badly @ deadline, & could even have inside track to sign him

That may be true, but thanks to the Suter and Parise buyouts Minnesota really can’t afford to sign anyone beyond one year. I have a feeling Nick expects to play more than one more season, and this next contract might be his last.

I think you have much bigger fish to fry getting Kaprisov to sign. Granted Dahlin is the same for Buffalo, except he hasn’t shown any desire not to sign. If Minnesota loses the best player they’ve had since Gaborik to Russia they will be in line behind Buffalo in the standings next season. I don’t think that will happen, but if you lose your best player for nothing you’ll look even worse than Buffalo with this Jack Eichel crap.

KK didn't want an 8 year deal. It's looking like 7-8M for 3-5 years.

The Fiala contract is closer, but it will be more like 6-7M and the term will be 5-6 years.

With those over pays, you've priced us out of getting Nick. I think we've got a better shot at him.
