Description
First want to say that the players I signed are could be changed, this is mostly to display a opinion I have.
In my opinion if you're paying someone $10M or higher they should be the anchor for their own line and be able to make those on their lines better assuming their skills mesh well with each other. So should the leafs run 3 first lines with Matthew's, Tavares, and Marner each on a separate line?

Ps this was done really quick with more time I could of done more research to make the lines better

The only way Thornton comes back is as a coach.

    I completely disagree.

While it may give the ‘3rd line’ an advantage, it also makes the top two lines substantially weaker (especially that 2nd line)

I understand that these guys get paid to score points, but they will score a ton more points by playing with each other.

Matthews and Marner were electric all year. The chemistry they have is undeniable. Splitting that up would be a mistake.

Maybe forming a Nylander, Matthews, Marner line is something that could be looked into (and is something I want to see), but splitting the big 4 into 3 separate lines just isn’t the way to go.

That's fair this is just a thought I had, just feel like Tampa the past two years and the blues before that won the cup with great depth amd having Matthes/Marner and Tavares/Nylander together gives Toronto a weak 3rd line. Also didn't expect these players exactly to make the team just putting it out there to see people's thoughts on it

Never anything wrong with throwing ideas out there

I do agree with the weak 3rd line though. Dubas and his crew should definitely be looking to upgrade that 3rd line this off-season.
Barclay Goodrow would be really nice to add. Maybe Erik Haula as well.
