Description
It’s well known that the Avs are likely going to lose a good player in the expansion draft. They also have some big contracts coming up this summer so it’s probably worth while for them to shed salary anyways. Are any of the following players available?

All except for Nichushkin can be had for the right price. Graves is likely to cost a 2nd, Donskoi a similar cost but maybe closer to a 3rd, and Compher more a 3rd.
    coga16 and ArakinSkywalker liked this.

as Foppa said, anyone but Nuke in the right deal.

Right now the rumour is Avs are shopping Graves around and Canucks and Arizona are interested. So that is your guy
And as of right now, I believe the Canucks dont even have enough guys to meet the exposure requirements os they have to add and quick

Too bad, Nichushkin is the main one I wanted lol. I guess if I were the Avs I would be avoiding trading him too

What do you think is the cost? I don’t think I go beyond a 2nd and one of the c-teir prospects for Graves

Probably that is what gets him. Now that avs got stung with 1.7m in bonuses overages with Makar, they need to move out money fast

Actually, it's kind of the opposite. The canucks have plenty of players that meet the requirements, and they have room to add players of quality.

Would be thrilled to get Graves. After thinking about it though, I'm not sure why the Avs would move him, or even leave him exposed? With Byram coming, I'd keep Graves and expose Toews. And why trade one of those defenders and then lose a forward to boot? Better to either bite the bullet and lose just one, or work a deal with Seattle. How about Byram for Seattle's 2nd pick in 2021 and an assurance that they don't take a defensemen from the Avs' roster?

Toews is much better than Graves! Graves is a big guy that doesnt play big. He's struggled mightily at times. That's an example of a bad player looking better on a great team
