Description
Weber was an absolute warrior his entire career, however he was past his prime and couldn’t move around like the new NHL standard for D. Him most likely being done frees up a lot of space to improve this team. People trade values on this site are crazy, I get that everyone is trying to do things for their favourite team but come on, look back at what guys have been traded for in past history (stone, o’reily) to name a few

Trades

SEA
  1. Allen, Jake
Additional Details:
This is almost a 100% thing unless Montreal throws in a sweetener to get Seattle to take a bad contract
2.
CBJ
  1. Drouin, Jonathan
  2. Guhle, Kaiden
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (TBL)
  4. 2022 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
This would be assuming drouin is ready to play. Would hope to sign an extension right away for jones. And if you think value is low go look at recent big name trades lol
3.
STL
  1. Byron, Paul
  2. Mysak, Jan
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (MTL)
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
Again I don’t see tarasenko having the value people think he does. STL wants him off the books to free up some money, this saves them roughly 3.2 million, get a guy you can plug in to fill an open spot on the wing. A few picks and a 2nd rounder from last year

Drouin is unwanted here. so a deal that involves him in a Jones trade is pretty much a non-starter unless he's being treated as a cap dump throw-in (and potentially not even then).

Jarmo tell you that? Jackets essentially getting 3 1st rounders and a second. Prep yourself for disappointment if you think he’s getting more return

I count one first rounder, a okay-but-not-great prospect, and a problematic winger that needs rehabbing. The 1st by itself is good. The prospect is not good enough for a Jones trade. And we already have a rehab project winger and he's got much better upside.
