I know Lou is a controversial GM for various reasons, but he and Trotz are reasons why the Isles are going to be perennial contenders moving forward. More moves have panned out than not, including the key Pageau and Varlamov signings, and most of the truly bad contracts like the Ladd deal were relics of the Garth Snow era. I do like what Bill Zito is putting together, however.

Florida really ain't gonna let Tampa off easy. Gonna be an amazing series if they meet again. Tampas biggest threat is their neighbor.

A solid contract to help Florida continue building towards their run.

I can see it with all but the goaltending. I just cannot trust a kid with only 6 games and Bobrosky who at this point is 8mill overpaid being in net.

honestly surprised they brought him back as I remember by the end he was playing on the 4th line

Tampa's biggest threat to a three-peat is IMO still Carolina, though Florida is catching up. Though Tampa won the series 4-1, the game scores were extremely close on average. The key for Carolina to maintain their position is how they handle the Dougie talks.

Bill Zito with yet another move. Great deal for the Panthers and for Duclair. He played great this past season so he really could've earned more in the FA but i'm not complaining if I' Florida. Great signing!

This is an insane deal for Florida, and one that will help them keep their lethal 911 line in tact. Duclair deserved this deal to keep him in a team beyond 1 season and I have a feeling they're gonna land a similar deal with Sam Bennett soon.
