SEA
  1. Rask, Victor
  2. 2021 2nd round pick (MIN)
  3. 2022 3rd round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
You lose Soucy or Kaapo if they ask for a first and buyout Rask or try to trade him out.
2.
MIN
  1. Reinhart, Sam [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Pick is conditional. If Fiala scores a career high in total goals this season and/or he is traded, this pick is moved to a First round selection in 2023.
BUF
  1. Fiala, Kevin
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
I envision that the Minnesota Wild have the higher valued player here with Fiala. He has the proven scoring potential without a Jack Eichel, though the Sabres still leverage Reinhart as a center.

I as well think Reinhart makes more fiscal sense for Minnesota, i think he gets a little more than that though

As far as the Seattle selection goes, Soucy can be replaced by UFA's or a trade that would cost less draft capital and Buffalo only had to pay a 6th for Vegas to take Carrier over Ullmark. A 2nd and a 3rd seems a bit lofty to me. I think the most I'd wager is a single 3rd to get Seattle to go for Rask over those two, and even that is pushing it for me.

1) I agree Reinhart should be the target. As far as salary, I used RNH and Fiala asking for around 6-7 mill as a base. I would probably be comfortable pushing limit at 6.75M/AAV?

2) I thought the same as you did about a month ago, heck maybe even a couple weeks ago. But, now that they lost Suter they need Defensemen AND they need Rask gone. This way, you do pay for Soucy who is solid, cheap, and young without having to dip into Free Agents as much because that can get expensive or just purely ineffective as you know what Soucy brings. I do agree you shouldn't pay too much of a price to keep him or Kaapo, like a first rounder.
