Team: 2021-22 Anaheim Ducks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 13, 2021
Published: Jul. 15, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
- Rakell and Manson are protected to move at the deadline.
- In this expansion scenario, Seattle goes the financially responsible route and avoids taking "problem" contracts such as Henrique and Shattenkirk (there are way better options for RD's out there for SEA
- I might be undervaluing Nolan Patrick (PHI fans please provide feedback)
- Anaheim still has 8M to be the facilitator/3rd party in trades to retain salary for draft picks/assets (plus another 8M when Manson/Rakell are moved)
- Long term outlook in 22-23 has them with about 36M in cap space with only Lindholm to resign and would be in a better position to make moves to compete for the playoffs
- Would the Devils do that trade?

I don't know about his birth status and parental situation, but he is a beauty. It's a shame it hasn't worked out in ANA. Both parties have said they're open to change.

This is a homerun. I think all of these moves work for the Ducks. (not crazy about re-signing Getzy, I think it's time to move on but for that number no big deal) I think Comtois's number is low for that term other than that this is really solid.

Thanks!! I think there’s much more Getzlaf has to offer off the ice that will be beneficial to the future generation of this team.

For Comtois, I’m not all that concerned with what he signs for. I do believe it’s a bridge deal for him just to prove it.

Thanks! I hope that I made it fair. Without watching too many devils games, it can be hard to tell. But from looking at his production and exit interview, it seems pretty close.

The Flyers aren't trading Patrick for that junk.

I was looking around at some other mocks that had patrick going for similar value. What do you think PHI would want back for patrick?

I think he will be the 2nd or 3rd piece in a package deal to get a really good player. Maybe him and a 1st for Garland or Bertuzzi, or him, Myers, and a first for a defenseman. I think if they were to trade him on his own it would be another disappointing young player with upside. Heinen and a 3rd does nothing for the Flyers.
