Trading for Eichel Rumored Teams

Created by: mikeg93
Team: 2021-22 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 15, 2021
Published: Jul. 15, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
One thing that probably has to be taken into consideration is the injury. But the trades will assume that he'll be fine.

Another important point is that Eichel is signed for 5 more years at what will become a reasonable $10M.

It probably takes two top prospects, maybe another good one and a first round pick. Again this is if Eichel is healthy and get a green light. Players like Eichel don't fall off trees. He's an exceptional player that would thrive with some supporting cast.

Full disclosue, I'm not a Sabres fan, so I don't care lol.

Values are all over the place. Bruins and Kings deals are ludicrously uneven.

It's what each team has to offer, I'm honestly not that best with Bruins prospect. What would need to be offered from Boston?

Any rumours on dahlin and a fresh start for him, would be kind of interesting at 1 to draft power and start the build from there, kind of question what it would take to flip 1 and 2 pick with Seattle and get Seattle to take who they want to

Barring a major roster piece like Pastrnak or McAvoy (which won't happen), the Bruins just don't have the pieces to make it work. That is a framework of what they'd try, adding another piece or two to keep him in the East.

I was more objecting to the Kings deal having Byfield and Turcotte. That is a crazy overpay that would never happen. The Sabres would be thrilled to get one of those guys (almost definitely not Byfield ever as he's legitimately untouchable) or maybe even Vilardi & Kupari paired as the centerpiece of a deal.

The staggering difference in value between what every team gives up vs what boston gives up is breathtaking.

Phuk Eichel!!!
Pretty obvious teams are not going to meet their ludicris demands.
Will be lucky to get 50cents on the dollar.
The longer it goes on the lower the price is dropping.
Will be a Kmart blue lite Special after the draft.
"Attention Kmart shoppers, special on an over priced, damaged, promised leader of your franchise.... Come grab hold before he hits the clearance rack!!"

Zegras, Suzuki and Byfield will not be going the other way in an Eichel deal imo. Definetly not one of those guys plus other pieces anyways.

The Sabres don't deal with Boston unless they are blown away. That is to say 5+ first round pick values. This is because Boston is not only a divisional opponent, but the Sabres 2nd biggest rival (behind the Leafs). Those two things would certainly hold a place in the Sabres front office mind (especially the 1st part about being a divisional opponent). For this reason I think Montreal wouldn't get a deal either.
