I’d love this, and I never doubt Jarmo’s ability to fleece another GM, but I don’t see this happening. It’s just a bit rich, though I don’t think Dach is untouchable the way CHI fans are so eager to jump in and point out.

he wanted a trade. no where near the same lol. There's like 5 guys in the league we would move dach for and Jones isn't even close to being one of them

Dach is an untouchable period! So your not getting him for an overrated defensemen, who has said he won't resign next off-season. So CBJ has no leverage in getting a top player in return.

I can see Kirby Dach being traded to Columbus for a defenseman, but it wouldn't be for Seth Jones. And Columbus would be the team adding.

Assuming you're suggesting Werenski. I wouldn't trach Dach for Werenski 1 for 1 if that's the suggestion. Definetly wouldn't do Dach+

Jones is willing to sign an extension with CHI or DAL, so CBJ do have leverage. But they don’t have to trade him with an extension in place either. If CHI doesn’t want him, that’s fine, Jarmo can move on to the other 10 teams interested.

Like him or not, Jones is the top d-man on about 10-15 teams in this league, so someone is going to trade for him this year, even if it’s only for one year, and there is no guarantee he signs in CHI next year.

Lol he is 26 years old, his skill is not regressing yet. If you watched him play you would understand a little better what all he does for his team that doesn’t make the stat sheet. I understand you don’t like him, but most NHL scouts and execs can see what his value is. You have to give to get, it will cost CHI something big,
