    Caps wouldn’t accept that offer, maybe you offer it to Seattle if they take him but I doubt they take it either.

    Why would the Caps not take that if the alternative is losing him to Seattle for literally nothing.

    Because it’s terrible asset management to take lower value for Vanecek so that we can lose another important roster player instead like Jensen, Sprong, or Sheary. It makes zero sense to trade Vanecek before the draft. We’re losing a good player, we’ll cut our losses at that.
