Description

Big news for the Habs, Weber is likely done for his career and Danaut will probably walk for a higher bidder. It's two big loses but I'm kinda seeing this as an opportunity.

Its also probably Bergevin's last year as a GM. I see him becoming the president of hockey for the club.
I sent Weber to NSH so they can put him on LTIR and save the cap recapture money. Bergevin capitalize on that and help NSH saving 5m for 5 year andin exchange, NSH give MTL a couple of picks.
Bergevin also said that he didn't want to lose Allen for nothing, so i'm using him to trade up a couple of spot with a team who don't have a signed goalie and could use him as a backup. We can sign a cheap backup if MTL want to let Primeau start another year in the AHL before fully graduating.
The only big UFA Bergevin should get is Barrie and hear me out why. We have a good amount of stay at home defensemen but lack offensive defensemen. Barrie could be our PP specialist since we only have Petry who can play on the PP (he's good offensivly but he's not the best on the PP). Big short term contract until our prospect can fill the roles.
Sign KK to a bridge deal and make him play. We want our youngster to grow and a playoff spot will be hard so let Zuk KK CC Romy grow. I also think Poehling is ready for top9 minutes after a great year in the AHL.
We still need 1 or 2 LW. I don't know the situation in Minnesota, but they need to give Kirill money and they're getting thight with the Suter/Parise buyout. Like Bergevin would say, expect the unexpected. I KNOW THIS PROBABLY WONT HAPPEN BUT THINK OF ANOTHER LW IN THE SAME TYPE AS FIALA. This give min a top 4 D prospect, two picks and some cap maneuver.
We hope to make the playoff but if we don't, lets get a top 10 pick and continue to grow our young guns.
Take this with a grain of salt, mostly the Fiala trade. don't get mad in the comment but tell me an alternative.
Note: I could also see MTL giving hometown Poehling to MIN. If they go that way, take out Harris or a first.

With news of Bishop being available. There are a ton of goalies available in expansion that are cheaper than Allen like Vanecek, D'Accord.

Brett Kulak could be a possibility for the kraken whos deep into analytics.

Devils say yes but I think that is a bit of an overpay. I'd say split the two picks and give up a 4th for Butcher straight up.

Thats true, but I think allen is a step higher than Vanecek or D’accord. Dropping 3-4 spot for a goalie like Allen I think its worth it. But yes depends on the market for goalie

Wild had Cap to sign both of Kaprizov, and Fiala, and they have more now. They have over 26 mil easily now because of 10 mil this year gained from buyout.

Kevin fiala isn't available. You need to stop proposing this bias, Comical , factual incorrect Statements, and Proposal. You make other Habs fans look bad

Fiala is only available for 1-2c. You are same person who constantly proposes kaprizov to Montreal for crap like here for Fiala

Wild don't need a d prospect. They already have Menell, Calen addison, Ryan O'Rouk, and Damon Jones. Jordan Harris would be behind all of them.

Add Kotkaniemi and the Habs 2022 1st round pick and then you can have Kevin Fiala. This isn’t anywhere near enough for him.

Kaprizov hasn’t had anything to do with the contract talks yet, everything that’s been turned down has been by his agent. Whether he wants to re sign in Minnesota after those 3 years depends on the team we build now, if we can build a contender then I would assume he stays, if we can’t then I assume he leaves. That’s how free agency works with every player, this is nothing new here. Btw, he loves it in Minnesota and has publicly expressed that multiple times, I’m not sure where you got the narrative that he wants to get away from here.

Butcher for 3rd is good - no need for the 5th.
We have seen him going for 2nds....to 6ths....
Likely ends up as single 3rd or 4th...or straight up for another player.
