Way too much value, blows a massive hole in the team going forward, inability to supplement Eichel and Kaprizov with any real talent, basically we'd turn ourselves into Buffalo but slightly better, and no one wants to be Buffalo

Huge no from Minnesota. They don't want the scrap people thrown in just for a trade. From what i have seen it would be like Jack for a 1, Dumba/Fiala, possible other 1 and mid level prospect like Beckman. The GM has no interest in trading Boldy or Rossi.

you filled the massive hole in your hole after the comma, in the same sentence. kap and jack going forward are the future. buff doesnt have anyone close to kap with eichel rn, and the team as a hole is better. you have to give up to get. i would love to hear your idea of what is fair value for eichel

Okay so we'd be Edmonton instead of Buffalo. Ask Edmonton how that's going.

"You have to give to get" is what people say when their value is way off base and they have no other way to justify it.

the value isnt way off there. those 3 and a 1st is damn near close. again, havent seen your idea of how you would counter it

I'm not going to counter it because I don't think we should be trading for Eichel in the first place, but that doesn't mean your offer is any good. It's a massive overpayment.

I have no problem saying no to Jack coming to MN. Remember the Sabers have to trade Jack not the other way around. They can ask for the moon but at the end of the day will accept the best offer and the buffalo fanbase will be upset because they aren't going to get what they think is of value.
