I think they should call that Russian line “Minnesota isn’t moving Kaprizov” that’s probably the most fitting name🤷🏼‍♂️

While Kaprizov is a nice young player, the Sabres don't need the headache of a guy who threatens his current team with going back to the KHL.

I know this isn't the focal point of this ACGM but Fleury at 50% retained to the Oilers for a 4th is a hell of a good deal.

I've seen a few tweets in the past month saying he is using it as negotiating tactic to get more money. The wild are going to be pressed for money in 2-3 years after the buy outs last week. If he is looking for a large contract after only one NHL season, I doubt the Sabres would want to be the team the pays him, and I doubt he would want to sign with a team treading water at the bottom of the standings.

Also, as the current trade is laid out, there is no way that the Sabres would be adding. Minnesota would have to change up the package or get a 3rd team involved to take on Dumba.

What you read was an idiot trying to make a name for himself by starting a fake rumor based on the fact that Kaprizov went back home for the summer (a lot of players do) because he had a wedding and a planned fishing trip to attend.

He's not using the KHL as a threat, and his only issue is he doesn't want a long term contract at this time. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.
