If Col was giving that much to Gabe he would be signed 10 months ago.

Coleman is getting a lot more than that.

Assume EJ is healthy

They don't need Perry

I could see that Suter deal tbh

Too much for Gru, if the cap squeeze hits somewhere it'll be him

No way Makar takes this. If I’m him , I’m asking for 12 mill over 7 years or 9 over 5 years

Do you think they'll resign Saad if they let Gabe walk?

I think so, or go after another UFA such as Coleman or Schwartz. I like the Perry signing too. Suter doesn't make much sense but if EJ is on LTIR it could work. But Avs already have Towes Girard and Byram on LHD, MacDonald can play there as well.

Yeah I tried the team . If they let Landy walk, they can afford Saad at 5 mill or another similar UFA but they’ll be close to the cap

I don't think Gabe walks but should he do it a lot of things change.

Saad, like Gabe will be more about if he is willing to take a team friendly deal or not. If Saad wants to do 4.25x4 then they will absolutely keep him and get that space when SEA takes Donskoi. If he want's 5+ then he is likely going else where.

One thing is for certain it wont be a quiet offseason, but you would have to think if you were a solid forward in a good market the idea of playing on COL has to be enticing.

I will add though that Col is a very savvy org, so don't assume they will just swap out Gabe with another UFA, although I think Danault could become more of an option

Concussion based Injury right so no defined timeline so they have to plan for him being active in season.

I was basing it off the fact he's super injury prone

that he is...but the latest injury is a concussion if I remember correctly. And hes still not ready, I think the DNVR podcst mentioned that the other day
Just you cant predict if hes out a few games or a full season,

Well if he's on the ltir they'll be able to build capital for a minimum amount of games anyway..

Doesn’t really work like that. You can’t accrue space while using ltir.
