Columbus is nowhere near that desperate to dump nyquist with a 1st

Like look at your acgm... we have like 16M in cap and nyquist would likely be an upgrade over foligno (who you overpaid) on the LW

I would think Columbus would get more for Jones and Laine.

Chicago accepts but you’ve undervalued Jones here.

As bad as it was last year you've got to run it back with Laine and surround him more talent than what's being presented here, if it's going the same way with Larsen then at the deadline sure he's out (although I see Laine having a bounce back year 40+ goals, playing with a chip on his shoulder). There's to much talent to completely tear it down here in Columbus, we've got to re-tool not rebuild.

no they don’t Boqvist has high potential and since they aren’t close to competing this deal would make no sense for Chicago.

Stan? Is that you?

Also I’m gonna disagree with you here. Boqvist has potential that he may or may not achieve. Jones is already a Norris finalist. He’s more of a guarantee than Boker is.

I am not sure how Holland could accept that. He's up against the cap wall and would be taking on a $5-6M up swing in this scenario. Also Laine should be able to fetch more.

If your offering a 1st and Nyquist, Detroit would gladly accept that.. So please present that instead of this to Seattle. I think any team would take Nyquist and a first as a cap dump that has space... Even sitting $5.5M on the bench works out for a first round pick, 25 (24th with Arizona) overall. You way undersold that one for sure. If I were Detroit I might even say "hey toss my Nyquist and your Toronto 1st, Ill send you back the Detroit 3rd round pick"

It just kinda looks like your going for a rebuild here and you have tons of cap space, but your throwing away a decent selection in the 1st round to move a contract you dont need to move.
