Hertl is not going anywhere without a strong first, something avs lack. This deal is not close to getting you Hertl even with a 1st.

I don't think Parise will sign anywhere to be scratched. Suter should get at least double that per year. Sounds like he'll have quite a few teams after him since he's still able to play at a top 4 level.

I think you could get VV for just a second. I also think he’s overrated. But would be a great 1B or backup. Caps would definitely accept that but definitely an overpay

How is vanecek worth more than hertl

I fully admit, i overpay for Vitek. Started watching him very young and am friends with some of his friends. So yeah, full on bias, eat me alive for it because I’m wrong and i know it.

Hertl can be acquired for less than a high first, but i don’t think the Avs are willing to part with the pieces needed and hertl will just walk from SJS when his contract is up.

Suter I’m banking on him wanting to go to a contender and it helps being able to play the wild so often. Parise would be injury insurance for the Avs who probably is in more than out.

Also, i give the caps the first since they’re taking in 3.5m and don’t have much space either

Yeah might need to swap the values but I like the players brought in. I have seen the vanecek kuemper combo and quite liked that as a goalie combo for playoffs if there’s a way to work that, maybe armia isn’t signed to the Compher deal for 4th line minutes again to make it work

Very good point about scuttling salary space on the 4th line which will play 7min on a good night.
