Suter to Toronto

Created by: SidAbel
Team: 2021-22 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 16, 2021
Published: Jul. 16, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Dubas convinces Parise and Suter to play with Auston Matthews in Toronto. This frees up a LD spot.

Rielly, a Vancouver native, is offered to Seattle along with 2 prospects to kick start the Kraken franchise. In exchange, Francis sends a surplus goalie picked from Arizona and Toronto-born McCann picked from Pittsburgh.

Mikheyev, expansion draft exempt, is traded to Nashville for Sissons, who is not exempt.

Toronto native Cizikas is signed as UFA: the Isles won't have the space to re-sign him. Granlund is added at last year's contract value. And Bogosian is re-signed with a bonus.

you gave cizikas 2m? the isles absolutely can match that especially since the leddy trade. it’s when numbers get into the 3-4m range that it gets dicey.

Not very practical UFA signings. Telling Reilly to sign a contract with another team, not very practical either.

Possible. But he has become a luxury for the Isles with Pageau at 3C, and you have Beauvillier, Pelech, Sorokin to sign, plus maybe a UFA to replace Leddy.

Suter will get considerably more than what you offered. There will be competition for his services. And not sure he wants to play in Canada.

he was always the 4C, he’s never played on our third line, so pageau doesn’t rly change his role. the isles have enough space now to sign all the RFAs and cizikas if they want, plus inevitably parise at league min and another defenseman, especially if they use their picks to move out another contract. cizikas at 2m is a no brainer.
