Parise is going to have more interest in him. Likely gets north of $1.5M

At this point in Parise's career, I don't think money matters anymore.

According to capfriendly, he's earned over 100 million.

Whatever he gets next, he'll probably just donate it to some local charity.

Do you think it's possible Bellows is protected and Eberle exposed? Could be tempting to the Kraken and frees up another 5.5 million. . . .

Eberle might help the Islanders win the cup someday while Bellows is a healthy scratch most nights.

    Crazier things have happened.

But if I'm Lou, I wouldn't even think about it.

Never seen Eberle as that type of player. His days in the World Juniors are a long time ago. 5.5 million could certainly help them get a player who can, though.

He's done reasonably well in the playoffs with the Islanders.

If the Islanders need to get rid of Eberle, it should be done through a trade, not a donation.

The NHL isn't a charity, mind you.

Can't imagine they want to "donate" Bellows much, either.

Perhaps they package him (Bellows) to have the Kraken take a less valuable player off their books, ie. Ladd or Komarov. (?)
