Detroit declines.

Ghost holds very little value for Detroit after yesterdays trade for Leddy. The rest isn't enough to get Bertuzzi.

No, Detroit values Bert highly and won't trade him unless the return is as good as the Mantha trade was.

Very doubtful Buffalo would make that trade. They have no use for another left-handed defenseman, and I still believe they really like Girgensons and have no intention of trading him.

If that's the case he's going nowhere. Nobody is going to be stupid enough to overpay to the level that Washington did for Mantha. That was simply a horrendous trade. A really good but not great prospect like Frost and a first round pick should be plenty enough to land Bertuzzi especially with a similar winger available in Conor Garland and other options in free agency that don't require trade compensation.

I disagree with my fellow Sabre fan.
I like Girgensons as much as he does and his absence probably had a lot to do with the Sabres failure this year.
Drop the retention, send Buffalo a 2021 2nd and Buffalo will sent you their 2021 fourth.
Bostonbruins liked this.

Maybe something around York instead of that package for Bertuzzi. Not sure Philly fans will like it but fills a need on Detroit.
