I would start POJ to see how he does and then put in Chariot. Whoever does better stays and the other gets scratched? Or maybe one of then moves to RD
They have to move so many guys out to have cap. I just don't think they have a choice to grab a defenseman who will sit. They need cap savings. Which explains why it's going to be POJ if they move a defenseman out. Has little to do with the player. Everything to do with them having no money.
I just did a acgm. If you move out McCann and Zucker. 2.9 and 5.5 and you add one guy at 4 mil. You're broke.
They probably aren't moving 3 guys this year. So you swap Petty with Zucker there, and you're probably over the cap.
This team has too many holes, not enough cap. They need to move guys to open cap. I don't see how they take any cap back unless they are moving out 7+ million.
Just looking at the team. $1,006,795 cap space left. You sign ZAR you are over.
You still don't have a 3RW or a real 3RD.
You move McCann, that's 2.9, You replace him with Pouline, you are adding 900k roughly, so you save 2 million.
That might get you a 3RD.
So if you move Petty, saves you 4, Then you bring in a guy running you 2.9 million, that gives you 1.1 million to find a 3RW.
They aren't finding a guy to play 3RW at 1.1
So then you can say, OK, move Zucker. But that means you have to find a top6 LW too. Which is probably not coming any cheaper.
It's just a cap thing. Money has to go out. Not come in. You move Petty or Matheson and say ok, we play POJ, and it's 3 million in savings if not more. That gets you a 3RW.
The only option is to play Poulin 2LW, which is not a great option. I admit that.
