I can’t see a reason why it would make sense for Chicago to do this trade. We have all the leverage and he’s a one year rental. Either boqvist or the 1st. You can add beaudin or mitchell if it’s the 1st. But this is too much

The “leverage” you speak of is an illusion. If Jarmo doesn’t get a good deal to his liking now, he will wait till the TDL and get a bidding war going. It drives up the price and would make it difficult for Chicago to secure him long term. Plus, Chicago wouldn’t get the boost of him playing this season.

I mean, say what you’d like but Chicago doesn’t need a one year rental that’s going to cost this much. But Columbus needs to trade him. If you aren’t happy with the return, that’s totally fine, I understand it cuz Jones is a great player. Just find another team
