Motte is over Lind. Even Highmore is more than Lind. Seattle is rumored to be taking a pick for Holtby though.

A 3rd round pick is worth a 3rd round pick bruva (and a 3rd round pick could luck into a late 1st round player this year since no one knows what's up).

And Dickinson is a solid 4th liner. A solid 3rd liner can play a two-way game and average more than 20 points.

Dickinson is an average to slightly below average 3rd line center.

Not one of these guys are as valuable as Dickinson?

Motte
MacEwen
Highmore
Lind
Bailey
Hawryluk
Graovac
Gadjovich
Palmu

I'm sure most of them aren't.

But it seems like Van will lose one of them in the expansion draft if they protect Dickinson.

Am I missing something?

I wouldve loved this deal for Vancouver if it had happened after the expansion draft, but not knowing who theyre protecting, or if they have a side deal with Seattle, its impossible to judge fairly.
