Good move by Dubas for the second year in a row against the same team. Did they not learn their lesson last year?

I absolutly love this for Toronto. McCann is good and we paid very little for him.

For real though. Everyone on this site always yells about how anyone rumoured to the Leafs is going to cost an arm and a leg, but then Kyle trades for their actual value or less and people always freak out. Like guys, make the adjustment already. Dubas knows how to swing a trade.

Dubas saw McCann had the second highest WAR behind McDavid and creamed in his pants. Steal of a trade though, he’s a tremendous fit on the Leafs.

Garth Snow is to Peter Chairelli as Kyle Dubas is to the Penguins

Dubas takes the W. Hallinder is a decent prospect, but damn.

I said the same about the Kadri trade, let's see how Dubas ****s this one up

Dubas clearly exploited McCann's exposure status.

LMFAO so basically 15oa + McCann for Kappy. Lol McCann was on pace for 61p in 82gp. GMJR still in office?

Is Rutherford still GM??

Ah no it’s Burkey & co. , that explains it.

Crosby is punching the air rn. You literally can’t vote Pens here lol. The option should be removed.

Highway robbery by Dubas. McCann will be a great upgrade over Kerfoot too.

Doesn't matter who the GM is it appears it is illegal for the Pens to make a fair trade when Filip Hallander is involved

Basically gave up a 7th for him since Penguins gave them Hållander for free. Kappy wasn’t even worth the 15oa pick at that time

Easy W for the Leafs.

Also this pretty much confirms they're going 7-3-1 so it's pretty likely that Holl is heading to Seattle

Penguins were probably going to lose him anyway, but they still didn't get as much value from a trade as I would've thought. At least they got Hallander back in the system.

Would've been better to just let Seattle select McCann...now they will lose another good player for free...I guess they're high on Hallander.

They got Hållander + 15oa for Kappy last year. They basically got McCann for a 7th lol. They killed the Penguins 2x in a year.

Kapanen's value was worth a late 1st. 15 might have been a touch high on its own but that would have been fair value. People on here always underestimate what Leafs players are worth, or overestimate what players going to the Leafs are worth and then freak out when Dubas trades them for proper value or more in favour of the Leafs. Like guys its time to make the adjustment.

Dickinson got a 3rd and McCann was on pace for 61p/82gp this year

That draft was extremely deep and the 15oa in that draft might have been top 10 in a normal draft. They could have got him for a good prospect and a 2nd imo or a 25-31 1st (like you said) not the 15oa + a good prospect
