Does Glass need protection? If not, they go 3-5-1 and protect Forsberg, Jarnkrok, Kunin + the 5 D. If Glass needs protection, it gets more complicated...

Without a side deal I would see NSH losing one of: Carrier, Fabbro (unlikely) Jarnkrok, Sissons, or Glass

I feel like the deal makes sense for Philly and Nashville but confused why Vegas did it. I don't think Glass needs protection since he is still on his ELC

I don't think Glass needs protection actually (could be wrong), so they'd go 5 D + Forsberg, Jarnkrok, Kunin --- so Jeannot, Trenin, Ingram, Johansen, Sissons as the most likely options

Do you know if he needs protection?

They may go 3F-5D-1G, Glass is exempt so one of Jarnkrok/Sissons. They'll recover.

Expect Jarnkrok is heading to Seattle. Or Kunin.

Glass doesn't need protection as he's only a 2nd year pro.

I would expect both of them to be protected and then Forsberg + the 5 D

Maybe they protect Johansen or Sissons over Jarnkrok, but I think Jarnkrok has the best trade value of all of them so may as well protect him and then trade him later if it comes to it. And neither the Sissons or Johansen contract are very good, so I wouldn't be upset seeing those off the books.

Vegas doesn't need to protect anybody since they're the most recent expansion team they're exempt from the expansion draft.

Feels that way -- maybe more of a retool with youth. But having Glass, Tolvanen, and Tomasino at forward + Fabbro, Carrier, Myers, and Farrance at defense + Saros, Ingram, and Askarov at goalie is pretty solid for them.

but Glass is on NSH now -- that's what @flyersarephilly is referring to

I mean Tomasino is one of the top prospects out there and he has a lot of potential, and I think Duchene is due for a bounce back. I think by year 5 and 6 of that Landeskog contract Nashville will regret that deal.

The protection comment was a response about Nashville having to protect glass in the trade bubble not anything about Vegas having to protect anyone
