    I hope you’re wrong about this being realistic since it’s likely another bubble playoff team at best in the Central. I agree with most values, but Pionk seems like a bit of an overpay. I’d be inclined to sign him on a shorter deal (4 yrs) to reduce the cap hit. I also think you’re missing $5M of cap space by not putting Little on LTIR that could be used for Stastny or another veteran player.

    Fans in Winnipeg will be calling for Chevy’s job if he doesn’t sign even a fringe top 4 Dman. He’s gone 2 years without addressing our biggest need

    I don't like this team either.. but at this point I don't see any big names. The only UFA D that could potentially sign here in Savard given his connection to PLD. And I don't trust Chevy to actually pull off a trade. I'm sure we'll hear about plenty of players the Jets were in on

    Very true, being in on players is as close as we ever get. I feel like we could have been in on Ellis. Stanley, Vesalainen, and a 2nd would be about fair. Though being in their division would be a deal breaker. Probably would have asked for Heinola or Perfetti
