    IMO Merkley will make this team. Plus with the 2 albatros contracts in front of him at RD, the Sharks will be able to ease him into the NHL.

    I don’t think Merks makes the team out of the gate yet tbh. Most of last year was spent trying to get him to an elite body fat percentage. Maybe if he can score at like close to a PPG in the AHL this year though.

    And Karlsson is an albatross, Burns is just a bit overpaid.

    Karlsson is the definition of high risk, high reward.
    Burns is like... always decent, and then something amazing.

    Merkley would have to impress in the AHL before he jumps Jaros, Meloche, and Pasinchuk in line for the 6th spot.
