Why does Seattle to take Clifton over Lauzon? Lauzon, is younger, bigger, more upside and under team control. Clifton is pretty much at his ceiling, 3rd pair, and a UFA in 2 years.

Clifton is better than you think, but you’re right Lauzon is probably who they’d pick out of the two. Why not Ritchie though? Every team needs a bigger enforcer type who can score goals. I think you see Kraken go that way over a Defenseman.

If I’m sending that for Keller and Kuemper, why not go to CBJ for Laine and Seth Jones. Either way that is really emptying the cupboard. Jones is gone at the end of the year and Laine won’t be happy until he’s in a big market team. Boston is a great place for him.

He isn’t. Love his heart and his desire. Still just a #6.

Would not be surprised at all if they took Ritchie. They have plenty of D available to them.

Because Jones is a rental and they can’t afford him and RD is set. Laine is a whineass that does not play any defense.

I did an armchair and if they could get Laine at 8x8, they would have 28M to sign Bergy, McAvoy, and Jones. It would make a crazy strong right side D. Can’t complain about size there at all. Laine is a whinieass but he did so in crappy places to live. Going from Winnipeg to Columbus is pretty much the same. Fans are great but there’s only 15,000 of them. Great places to be from, not great places to be going.

    Fair points though.
