After all that’s happened today I believe there is no need for Lou to leave Eberle exposed. Bellows won’t crack the roster this or in subsequent years. It makes sense. Obviously moving Eberles contract is still ideal and bringing back Palmieri is what most won’t. I just think at this point the necessary moves have been made where the cap space is there to sign all the necessary pieces without committing to large contracts (Tarasenko, Landeskog, Hamilton) that are all possible but a luxury. This team has Boychuk, Leo, Clutter, Hickey all off the books next year so that’s 14 mil to work with alone next offseason with the only necessary RFA being Dobson. Lets not over commit and move back into a situation where 5-6 years down the road we as fans are looking at the isles cap situation the same way we are today.
