8x8 doesn’t get Landeskog done, he is asking the Avs for 8x9.

Good team but I think Landeskog will become RW1 if we do sign him

Looks good to me. Still think there is a side deal in place though

Wouldn’t be surprised just know he plays extremely similar to Lee and think it might benefit the team more to play this way but we shall see if it ever happened

I love that they expose Eberle and Bailey Show Lou has some balls, Isles are going big game hunting if they get one of these contracts off of the books. Rather lose Bailey than Eberle.

Idk, the cap doesnt really work. The 3 rfas get 13 imo casey gets 2.5 landy if we want him will cost 8.5+ and who knows if we can find a solid LD2 for 2 million (i dont think suter comes and i also think he gets 3mil x 2). I also really like 27-13-7 and really dont wanna break that up.
I also think theres no side deal and SEA picks bellows. Everything theyre doing says rebuilding (or building in this case) and not trying to contend right away. Taking a 30+yo winger at a not so small cap hit when cap space is at a premium doesnt make sense, especially as they both have 3 years left, so they cant be retained and moved at the deadline. Imho it makes much more sense for seattle to take bellows.

Most certainly rather lose bailey than eberle, tho tbh id rather bellows be picked. We have enough cap space rn.

If Lou wants to go after Landy send either one of them with Bellows and a Pick.

I dont think we can get landy and id rather not throw everything away and be disappointed like 2019.

The isles have to take a risk, thats the only way isles beat Tampa in the playoffs

Tampas team is gonna disintegrate and getting lee back is good enough for me. Its not just lees production that you get back but also barzys and eberles. When theyre all together that line is borderline elite. Go spend your cap on a solid RW2/LW3 (wherever bailey isnt) and on a LD2. No need to try to make a splash and screw it all up.

Like I said keeping Eberle and having Bailey go is what I prefer but they need a better scorer on the top line, Lee-Barzal-Eberle were together for the 2019 playoffs and they still could not beat a Tampa. They are one sniper away from the Stanley cup if everything else stays together. I just think Wahlstrom will take 2 years to play with Barzal on the top line.

Leave it to the islanders to protect fourth line wingers.
