SHUT UP AND GIVE ME YOUR BEST PLAYERS!!!

Created by: F50marco
Team: 2016-17 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 11, 2017
Published: Feb. 11, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Duchene, Matt
  2. Tyutin, Fedor ($1,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Plekanec has to be involved for us to be able to stay under the cap. We can't make any trade involving Duchene otherwise. He's still a good player so the Avs shouldn't have a problem with this. Only one more year so you could trade him at next years TDL for another pick.

Tyutin added to make cap go both ways evenly plus depth.

I would take Beauchemin instead of Tyutin on 1 condition: he has to waive his NMC and keep it waived for the expansion draft. If so I would take Beauchemin off your hands. I personally don't think he would so I'm including Tyutin instead.
COL
  1. Beaulieu, Nathan
  2. Plekanec, Tomas
  3. Sergachev, Mikhail
  4. 2017 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Asking price:
One Young roster dman: Beaulieu
One Top prospect dman: Sergachev
One 1st round pick 2017

Plekanec added to make cap situation work for MTL otherwise can't do it.
2.
MTL
  1. Bouma, Lance ($1,100,000 retained)
  2. Brodie, TJ
  3. Brouwer, Troy
Additional Details:
CGY gets cheaper, younger, arguably just as good and adds a young former 1st round pick prospect in Juulsen. While dumping half of Bouma's contract. He's an overpaid 4th liner at best. Oh and is always injured.
CGY
  1. Emelin, Alexei
  2. Gallagher, Brendan
  3. Juulsen, Noah
Additional Details:
Emelin is playing in the Habs top pairing with Weber but he needs a puck mover with him to be effective. Giordano/Hamilton need a defensive dman to be effective. Emelin plays both sides. This helps both teams out while still being competitive. Emelin is better defensively but Brodie is better offensively. Overall Brodie is much better though I know so MTL has to add here.

Gallagher replaces Brouwer but is probably better, cheaper and younger. If players can stop shooting directly on his left hand, Gallagher is easily a 20+ goal scorer while being a complete disaster in front of the net for goalies.

To even out Brodie and Brouwer for Emelin and Gallagher, MTL throws in Juulsen (one of our best prospects for Bouma (at half price)
3.
MTL
  1. Dauphin, Laurent
  2. Hanzal, Martin
Additional Details:
Screw it lets go for the cup!
ARI
  1. Desharnais, David
  2. McCarron, Michael
  3. 2018 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
OK they get Big Mac and the 1st rounder but they have to take Desharnais on for the rest of the year to offset cap hits as well as send us a home town kid.

The loss between Gallagher to Brouwer should be a deal breaker for Montreal

Your forgetting the loss between Brodie and Emelin though? That is pretty big too. Enough for me to add one of our best prospects and take on a cap dump from them also.

Edit: Also can you explain why? Brouwer isn't having a good year but he's a decent player.

The Avs deal seems to be fair. The Calgary deal seems to be fair, too but I don´t want to lose Gallagher.

But the Yotes deal is an overpayment, replace the 1st rounder and give them one, maybe two 2nd rounder instead.
