Holy ****. Definitely dreaming. Reinhart is gonna cost a hell of a lot more than that.

Both Pulock and Reinhart cost more then those offers. And Reinhart wants to play out west.

Isles decline easily. Need way more than that, and Pulock is considered a part of the core not just for this cup run but for the future as well.

As a rental you're probably pretty close value wise for Pulock, but the Islanders will probably try to keep him. On the Buffalo trade, Reinhart isn't enough of a need for the Jets to warrant giving up Heinola. The Jets would pass on that one.

From the Isles viewpoint this trade is nowhere near close. Pulock is on a bridge deal with the understanding he’s getting a longer term deal after this year with a lot of bigger contracts coming off the books (Leddy and Ladd so far with Clutterbuck’s $3.5 million dollar contract expiring after this year). Isles are not trading him unless an utterly staggering offer comes in, and this is decidedly not that.

Just a quick look at the Sabres roster- dahlin (lhd), power (lhd), samuelsson (lhd), Ryan Johnson (lhd). Looks like there's no reason at all to trade Reinhart for a lhd. I suppose you could play devils advocate and say how awesome heinola is, and how you could immediately flip him for something that we actually need, then we are really doubling down on our gm who is still pretty green, not worth it. Oops- quick edit, and Jacob Bryson, team seems to really like this kid, also a lhd.

Very understandable. As I said if the Islanders intend on keeping Pulock, then they probably won't consider any reasonable deal. But as a pure rental value which is what he would be for anyone tradingfor him, he's close on value on his offer, although those may not be pieces the Islanders need.

I was going to say way to light on Pulock. But I can see that being about the right value IF Pulock for whatever reason has made it clear to nyi he isn't resigning.

Unless heinola is some super prospect I'm not aware of that's not nearly enough for Reinhart.

As long as Heinola stays a Jet, everyone is happy.
