Sabres decline. We want a good prospect and a higher 1st round pick. That is not an outrageous ask. Someone will give that much. Pay up, or get out of the way. Hahaha.

The Blue Jackets have no interest in trading Bemstrom.

So I would like to ask you what would you be willing to trade for the following player:

What is the value of a player that puts up the following numbers:

Year 1: 79 games 23 goals 19 assists 42 points

Year 2: 79 games 17 goals 30 assists 47 points

Year 3: 82 games 25 goals 25 assists 50 points

Year 4: 82 games 22 goals 43 assists 65 points

Year 5: 69 games 22 goals 28 assists 50 points

Year 6: 54 games 25 goals 15 assists 40 points

What value would a team acquiring this level of production and availability (this player very rarely misses a contest).

Columbus is going to have to include one of their goalies in the deal as Buffalo has a big whole to fill in net with only Takarski is signed

The problem is Reinhart doesn't have a contract and it looks to most that he wants out of Buffalo. The value of a player like that goes down when it looks like he's trying to get to FA or out of Buffalo as fast as possible. I think he holds out and uses his arbitration rights this year to cash out or force a trade which in turn drops his value even further.

Well I guess we will agree to disagree.... the question I asked was a simple one please tell me what the value of a player with that type of history is..... any team (there will be a number of them) wanting to trade for Samson will have the ability to work out a contract before the trade is agreed to...... it is not in Samson best interest for him to be difficult with his new team.... his agent will tell the teams interested the range for that next contract.... a GM is going to look at a players ability first and foremost and deal with cap issues second (look at what the Tampa Bay GM did this year to circumvent the cap). GM Adams was born at night not just last night he is not going to allow a GM to devalue his player due to a contract not being signed.
